Concept to Short Film is an inclusive, 9-month course that guides you through the entire short film production process, from first ideas to final cut. This unique mentored program is a supportive journey for those who would like to work in a structured way towards producing a short film, supported by an experienced filmmaker, your workshop peers, and photo access. This course will help you develop, create, and share your vision, whether that results in a completed film or ongoing experimentation.
Under the mentorship of award-winning Director/Producer Nathan Hughes, you’ll explore all aspects of low-budget independent filmmaking with no need for expensive equipment. Nathan brings extensive experience and insight into the triumphs and challenges of creative freedom of filmmaking. His work has been supported by The British Council, Reykjavik International Talent Lab, London Screenwriter’s Festival and Creative Europe, and his dramas, docos and design fictions have screened at prestige international film festivals. Nathan is a supportive, down-to-earth mentor who creates a welcoming, collaborative space where everyone can be themselves and thrive. photo access staff will also be on hand to support and assist you.
