ABOUT THE ROLE
Do you have a flair for crafting captivating visual content that enhances engagement across digital and print? As Graphic and Digital Designer, you will lead the design and delivery of both digital and print assets at AMSA. Reporting to the Advisor, Digital Engagement, you will be responsible for:
- Developing graphic design products for delivery across a range of digital and print channels for campaigns, engagement activities and other purposes;
- Managing the design production schedule, including outsourcing work if required;
- Developing and maintaining the AMSA corporate brand and guidelines;
- Photography, animation and video editing and production.
This position is Canberra-based; however Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane locations will be considered for the right candidate.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in this position, you will have the following skills and experience:
- At least five years’ experience in creative design in a government or corporate digital marketing or communications environment, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office suite and Office 365;
- Demonstrated ability and experience in engaging with stakeholders to develop positive working relationships and working collaboratively to interpret design briefs and develop design products and assets for a range of digital and print channels;
- Excellent attention to detail, time and task management with the ability to take ownership of tasks through to completion and manage a design production schedule, including outsourcing work when required;
- Knowledge of the Digital Service Standard and experience in applying it to designing for digital channels;
- Proficiency in video editing, animation and photography;
- Knowledge of stock image libraries, licensing and copyright, best practice record keeping and filing practices.
The following attributes are desirable but not mandatory:
- Experience in digital content publishing (web content editing and publishing in SharePoint, Drupal CMS and other content management systems).
